
There are moments in life when we wonder when God will answer. We pray, we wait, and we hold onto promises that sometimes seem slow in coming. We may even have a clear picture of how we believe things should work out, only to discover that God has chosen a different path and a different timeline. Yet throughout Scripture and throughout our own lives, one truth remains constant: God is faithful.
The Lord’s promises are not dependent upon our schedules or our understanding. What feels like a delay to us may actually be a season of preparation. What looks like a detour may be the very road God is using to bring us where we need to be. His answer may not arrive when we expect it, and it may not look exactly as we imagined, but God never forgets His people or abandons the promises He has made.
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV)
Looking back, we can often see places where God was working long before we recognized it. Doors opened at just the right moment. Needs were met in unexpected ways. Difficult seasons eventually revealed a purpose we could not see while we were walking through them. Again and again, the Lord reminds us that His faithfulness is greater than our ability to understand His plan.
So if you are waiting on God today, keep trusting Him. Continue praying, continue walking faithfully, and resist the temptation to believe that silence means absence. God has not forgotten you. His timing may be different from yours and His answer may come in a way you never anticipated, but He never ceases to come through for His people.
His promises remain. His faithfulness endures. And in His perfect time, we will once again see that He was working all along.
